Four prisoners hanged in Iran

Iran Human Rights, February 17, 2014:  Four prisoners were hanged in two different Iranian prisons today, Monday february 17.  According to the state run Mehr news agency  two prisoners were hanged in the prison of Noshahr (northern Iran).  The  prisoners were identified as "J. M." and "M. A." both convicted of murder in two different cases, said the report. They were sen

5em;">tences to Qesas (retribution) and their death sentences were carried out in the prison of Noshahr. Mehr news agency also reported about execution of two prisoners in the prison of Zanjan (north-west of Tehran).  The prisoners were identified as "S. B." charged with participation in buying and trafficking of 2190 grams of heroin, and "M. R." charged with trafficking of 1905 grams of heroin said the report. The prisoners were sentenced to death by branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Zanjan.
