The death sentences of Farzad Kamangar, Ali Heydarian and Farhad Vakili has been approved by the Iranian Supreme Court

Iran Human Rights, July 11: According to the site "Human rights activists in Iran" the Iranian Supreme Court has approved the sentences of the activists Farzad Kamangar, Ali Heydarian and Farhad Vakili.

Farzad Kamangar, a Kurdish teacher, was sentenecd to death by the branch 30 of the Iranian revolutionary court on Monday February 25, while Ali Heydarian and Farhad Vakili were sentenced by the same court to 10 years of prison and execution.

Farzad Kamangar was charged for being member of the Kurdish organization PKK.

According to the "Human rights activists in Iran" Farzad Kamangar could be facing execution in the near future.
