On the morning of Monday November 9, a prisoner identified as "A.S." was hanged by crane in public on rape charges. The hanging was reportedly carried out in Khoy, West Azerbaijan.
The news of the hanging, including the photos, were published by Azarnegah, an official Iranian state-run news website.
