Southern Iran: Prisoner Hanged on Murder Charges

Iran Human Rights (MAR 2 2017): On Saturday February 25, a prisoner was reportedly hanged at Bandar Abbas Central Prison (Hormozgan province, southern Iran) on murder charges.

Close sources have identified the prisoner as Reza Keramat, 39 years of age.

"Mr. Keramat was arrested for the murder of his co-worker," a close source tells Iran Human Rights.

Iranian official sources, including the Judiciary and the media, have not announced Reza Keramat's execution.
