Three Prisoners in Imminent Danger of Execution

Three prisoners are in imminent danger of execution in Rasht's central prison (Gilan province, northern Iran). 

Iran Human Rights (JUNE 30 2017): Two men and one woman at Lakan, Rasht's central prison, were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions. 

According to close sources, the prisoners were transferred on the morning of Thursday June 29, and their executions are scheduled to be carried out on Saturday July 1. 

One of the men has been identified as Tar, which is reportedly his surname. He was reportedly sentenced to death on the charge of trafficking five kilograms of heroin. The names and charges of the other two prisoners are not known at this time. 

These three individuals are the first group of prisoners scheduled to be executed following the end of Ramadan.
