Prisoner Scheduled For Execution

Iran Human Rights (Nov 16 2017): A prisoner who was sentenced to death for Moharebeh (enmity against God) was transferred to solitary confinement at Rajai Shahr Prison.

According to a close source, in the afternoon of Wednesday November 15, the prisoners at Rajai Shahr Prison was transferred to solitary confinement to be executed. The prisoner, identified as Majid Sa’adat, was transferred to solitary confinement from ward 1. He was convicted of Moharebeh while there is no information regarding his criminal offence and the evidence against him.

“Majid Sa’adat extorted some of the Iranian authorities by posing as government officials and an agent of the Ministry of Intelligence. However, he was never aggressive and did not use cold weapons or guns, which would make make his crime count as Moharebeh,” Said one of the prisoner’s relatives to Iran Human Rights (IHR).

The prisoner is scheduled to be executed at Rajai Shahr Prison on Saturday while executions at this prison are typically carried out on Wednesdays.
