Iran: Man Hanged for Drug Charges

Iran Human Rights (IHR); December 1, 2019: A man was hanged in Birjand prison for drug charges last week.

According to Baluchi Activists Campaign, on the morning of Sunday, November 24, prisoner Mohammad Dabir was executed at Birjand prison. 

Mohammad Dabir, son of Aghanour, was held in prison for one and a half year before the execution. His execution has not yet been announced by the Iranian authorities or media so far. 

Out of the 110 people who were executed in the first half of 2019, nine were sentenced to death for drug-related charges.
