Execution of the minor offender Mohammadreza Haddadi has been halted

Iran Human Rights, May 27: The scheduled execution of Mohammadreza Haddadi has been halted.

Haddadi’s defence lawyer, Mohammad Mostafaei, wrote in a letter that Mohammadreza Haddadi’s execution, which was scheduled to atke place this morning, was halted after an order from the Iranian judiciary.

No further details have been provided.

Sources in Iran have also confirmed that one of those executed on May 20. in Shiraz was 17 at the time of committing the alleged offence.

The same sources have also confirmed that 6 people were executed in Shiraz on May 20. However the Iranian media reported only 4 executions on that day in Shiraz.
