One person was hanged in northeastern Iran yesterday- Another person scheduled to be hanged tomorrow September 16.

Iran Human Rights, September 15: One person was hanged in the prison of Shirvan, northeastern Iran yesterday morning September 14th, reported the official website of the Iranian judiciary in North Khorasan.

The person who was not identified by name, was convicted of keeping 401 grams of crystal, according to the report.

According to the state run Iranian news agency Fars, a 25 years old man identified as Amin (picture) is cheduled to be hanged in the prison of Varamin (west of Tehran) tomorrow September 16. The man is convicted of rape and sexual assaults on several girl in the past two years. He was sentenced twice to death, 173 lashes, 25 years in prison and his sentence was approved by the Supreme Court. He was originally scheduled to be hanged in public but the chief prosecutor of Varamin said to the news agency that the hanging will be carried out inside the prison due to security reasons.
