One man was hanged in public in the city of Khoramabad, this morning

Iran Human Rights, January 22: One man was hanged in public in Khorramabad this morning, Tuesday January 22, reportde the official Iranian news agency IRNA. The hanging took place in the "Madar" square of Khoramabad, the capital of Lorestan province, west of Iran. The man, identified as "Hamed P.", was convicted of murder according to the report.

The state-run news agency Fars reported the execution and identified the man as "Hamed Parvan" (26). The news agency reported taht since 21 March 2007 (beginning of the Iranian year) 7 people have been hanged in Khorramabad.
