15 Official Executions in Two Days- Iranian Authorities Confirm Execution of the Kurdish Political Prisoner Shirko Moarefi
Iran Human Rights, November 5: According to the official Iranian media 15 prisoners have been executed in different Iranian cities on Sunday and Monday this week.
Two prisoners were hanged in the prison of Semnan (northern Iran):
According to the official website of the Iranian Judiciary in Semnan, two prisoners were hanged in the prison of Semnan on Sunday November 3. The prisoners who were identified as "A. M." and "M. B." were convicted of murder, said the report.
Five prisoners were hanged in the prison of Kermanshah (western Iran):
The state run Iranian news agency ISNA reported that five prisoners identified as "T.
Six prisoners were hanged in Kerman (southeastern Iran)
According to the Iranian State Broadcasting six prisoners were hanged in the prisons of Kerman and Bam, in the Kerman province on Monday November 4. None of the prisoners were identified by name and all of them were convicted of drug related charges.
One prisoner was hanged in the prison of Birjand (eastern Iran):
The Iranian daily newspaper Khorasan reported that one prisoner identified as "A. M." was hanged in the prison of Birjand on Monday November 4. The prisoner was convicted of murder said the report.
Iranian authorities confirm execution of the Kurdish political prisoner Shirko Moarefi:
The website close to the Iranian authorities Bultannews confirmed new of the execution of Shirko Moarefi. Bultannews showed a photoshop-manipulated picture and wrote that Shirko Moarefi was member of "an armed terrorist group who was arrested when entering Iran". Shirko Moarefi has denied any involvement in armed acts.
None of Shirko’s lawyers were informed about his execution.
