One man hanged in Yazd, Thursday morning February 7

Iran Human Rights, February 9: One man was hanged in the city of Yazd in central Iran, reported the Iranian daily newspaper Tehran Emrooz. Originally, he was sentenced to death by hanging in public. But since the judiciary banned public hangings, he was hanged in teh prison yard. However about 100 people (families of the victims and officials) witnessed the hanging, according to the report.

The man was identified as Abdolzahra (31) in a report published by the Iranian daily Etemad.
