At least 16 executions, including one minor offender in February 2008

Iran Human Rights, March 3: Based on the reports published in the official Iranian media, 16 people were executed in different Iranian cities in the month of February 2008.

One of those executed, Javad Shojaee, was a minor offender. He wes convicted of a murder he allegedly committed when he was 16 years old. He was executed in Isfahan on February 26.

It is believed that the real number of the executions is much higher, since the media just publish the news they get from the security fources.
