The women rights activist Khadijeh Moghaddam was arrested yesterday

Iran Human Rights, April 9: According to the website Change for equality, Khadijeh Moghadam, women rights activist and member of the "One million signature" campaign was arrested yesterday.

According to the report, the security forced broke into her house and arrested her yesterday morning. After several hours f interrogation, she was transferred to Vozara detention centre. She is charged for "attempts against the security of the nation", a charge widely used for the critics of the Iranian authorities. According to Ms. Moghaddam, who is also member of the "mothers campaign for equality" the interrogators have asked her about the names of the other women rights activists who have been visiting her and participated in the meetings arranged at her home.
