Iran Human Rights, April 15: The official Iranian news agency IRNA broadcasted a news report this morning about the Amnesty International’s (AI) recent "2007 Death penalty report".
The IRNA report says:"According to Amnesty International, at least 1252 people were executed in 24 countries in 2007. China with at least 470 executions was on top of the list, followed by Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the USA.
No name of Iran was mentioned in the Iranian news agency’s broadcasting of AI’s death penalty report.
According to AI’s original report, Iran with at least 317 executions had the world’s second highest number of executions last year. China with at least 470 executions was the country with the highest number of executions in 2007.
