Five men were hanged in Tehran early this morning

Iran Human Rights, April 23: Five men were hanged in Tehran’s Evin prison early this morning reported the state run news agency Fars.

Iran Human Rights reported yesterday about the scheduled execution of seven men in Tehran.

According to the state run ISCA news, there were 10 people all together who were scheduled to be executed this morning. They were all convicted for murder.

One of the convicted was forgiven by the family of the offender, while execution of three others were postponed so that they can pay the bloodmoney. While the execution of one of the men identified as Hamidreza, who was convicted of murdering a member of the Basidj militia, was postponed due to the request of the father of the offended to hang Hamidreza in public, according to the daily newspaper Etemaad.

Five men were hanged in the Evin prison this morning.

Those who were executed this morning are identified as: Esfandiar (40), Hamid H. (age not mentioned), Mohammad H, Ebrahim F., and Ahmad H. (sentenced to two times execution).
