Iran Human Rights, June 1: Two minor offenders on the death row, Behnood Shojaee and Mohammad Fadaei are scheduled to be executed on June 11, while Saeed Jazi is scheduled to eb executed on June 25, reported the Iranian Daily newspaper Etemaad today.
All three are sentenced to death for murders they allegedly committed when they were minors.
Iran has ratified the UN’s convention of Children’s rights which bans capital punishment for the offences committed at under 18 years og age.
Human rights activists believe that international pressue can save these minor offender’s lives.
