9 people, among them at least one woman and a possible child offender, are executed in Tehran

One of those executed was possibly 17 years old at the time of the crime, and age of two others is not mentioned

 

Iran Human Rights, October 18: 9 people were executed at the Evin prison in Tehran, early in the morning of Wednesday October 17, reported the state-run ISNA news agency.

One of those executed is identified as Babak (23 years old). He is convicted of a murder in January 2002

Another one is a woman identified as "Fakhteh S." (24 years old), who is convicted of murdering an 80 years old man in December 2001. According to Fakhteh, the man had tried to rape her.

The others who were executed at the Evin prison in Tehran yesterday, are identified as:

 Morteza R., 28 years old, convicted of murder in 2003
 Behzad M., age not reported, convicted of rape and murder
 Hossein, age not mentioned, convicted of murder of another man in 2004, who allegedly had tried to rape him
 Hamid, 22 years old, convicted of murder in January 2004
 Mohammad Reza Sh., 25 years old, convicted of murder in 2004
 Kian, 33 years old, convicted of murder in 2005
 Seddigh Q., 29 years old, convicted of murder in 2005

Execution of another unidentified individual convicted of murder was not carried out, since he was forgiven by the family of the offended.

Yesteday, Iran Human Rights reported that 11 prisoners were transferred from the Gohardasht (Rejaei Shahr) prison to Evin prison to be executed.
