A young prisoner is hanged to death for allegedly harassing a woman
Iran Human Rights, September 24 2015: A young prisoner, who was charged with the harassment (and possible sexual insult) of a woman and then sentenced to death, was reportedly executed at Mashhad's Vakilabad Prison early morning Sunday September 20. The execution was published in a report by an official Iranian source, Khorasan News.
According to the report, the young man colluded through the use of force and threats to try to coerce a "divorced woman" to marry him. An alleged accomplice was reportedly sentenced to three and a half years in prison.
The report states that the unnamed prisoner was 19 years old and charged with the crime on March 25, 2014, but does not indicate whether the prisoner was 19 at the time the charge was issued or he was hanged to death.
