THE MINOR OFFENDER REZA HEJAZI WAS EXECUTED THIS MORNING

Iran Human Rights, August 19: According to reports from reliable sources in Iran, the juvenile offender Reza Hejazi (20) was hanged at 11.00 local time this morning in the prison of Isfahan.

Reza Hejazi was convicted of a murder allegedly committed when he was 15 years old. His family were informed yesterday evening about the scheduled execution. The execution was halted early this morning and his family and human rights defenders believed that he will nor be executed.

However he was hanged later this morning!

Reza Hejazi was the fifth minor offender to be executed in 2008 in Iran!
