GHOLAMREZA H., A MINOR OFFENDER, WAS EXECUTED IN ISFAHAN ON OCTOBER 29

Iran Human Rights, October 31: A minor offender, identified as "Gholamreza H." was hanged in the prison of Isfahan Wednesday morning October 29, 2008, reported the official web site of Isfahan Judiciary.

Gholamreza, an Afghan citizen, was convicted of a murder in November 2006 said the report.

According to the report he was 19 years old at the time of execution, making him a minor offender (17) at the time of committing the alleged offence.

Gholamreza is the seventh minor offender to be executed in Iran in 2008.

According to thelist prepared by several human rights organizations, there are several unidentified Afghan minors on the death row in Iran.
