Iran Human Rights, december 23: Ten people are scheduled to be hanged in tehran’s Evin prison, tomorrow Christmas eve, reported the Iranian state run news agency ISCA news today.

According to the report these ten include one woman, identified as Tayebeh and nine unidentified men. Tayebeh is convicted of killing her step daughter Elaheh.

However, Tayebeh denies having killed the girl, and said that the confession was given under pressure.

According to Tayebeh’s lawyer, there is no prove pointing at Tayebeh as the killer.

None of the other nine men who are scheduled to be executed tomorrow are identified in the report.

Behnood Shojaee, a minor offender, was originally on the execution list according to his lawyer Mr. Mohammad Mostafaei.

However, the Iranian daily newspaper Etemaad reported today that Behnood’s name was temporarily removed from the execution list tomorrow. This has not been confirmed by his lawyer yet.
