Behnood Shojaee’s execution is postponed

Iran Human Rights, December 23: Behnood Shojaee’s name has been removed from the list of those scheduled to be executed tomorrow morning in Tehran.

Yesterday we reported that Behnood Shojaee is scheduled to be executed early morning of December 24. However, Mohammad Mostafaei, Behnood’s lawyer, wrote in a letter to Iran Human Rights, that Behnood’d name is not on the list of those scheduled to be executed tomorrow. However, he insisted that Behnood has not been pardoned and he could still face execution in the near future.

The Iranian daily newspaper Etemaad reported that Behnood’s name, which originally was on the list, has been removed due to a request from Tehran attorny, and his execution is postponed.
