Iran Human Rights, April 3: A young man with schizophrenia is scheduled to be executed in Tehran tomorrow, reported the Iranian daily Etemad.

According to the report, the young man who is identified as "Shahriar" and convicted of a murder 5 years ago, is scheduled to be executed on April 3 in Tehran.

According to the medical spacialists Shariar has been suffering from Schizophrenia and at the time of the alleged murder he was under treatment with heavy neuroleptics. He was also staying at the mental hospital at the time of his trial.

The report also says that he was a minor at the time of the offence.

Shahriar was scheduled to be executed at the end of February but his execution was postponed for one month, and due to the Iranian new year, his execution is scheduled to take place on April 4.
