Iran: Man Hanged for Murder Charges

Iran Human Rights (IHR); December 5, 2019: A man was executed for murder charges at Karaj city’s Rajai-Shahr prison, near Tehran Wednesday.
According to IHR sources, on the morning of Wednesday, December 4, prisoner Ali Golmohammadi was hanged at the Karaj city’s Rajai-Shahr prison.
“Ali Golmohammadi had been sentenced to death over murdering his fiancee,” a well-informed source told IHR.
Out of the 110 people who were executed in the first half of 2019, 83 were sentenced to qisas (retribution in-kind) for murder.
