Iran Executions: Man Hanged at Sanandaj Prison

According to Iran Human Rights (IHR), on the morning of Wednesday, December 18, prisoner Farzad Seif-Panahi, 37, was executed at Sanandaj prison, Kurdistan province.

“Farzad was sentenced to death for murdering a man around five years ago,” a well-informed source told IHR.

Out of the 110 people who were executed in the first half of 2019, 83 were sentenced to qisas (retribution in-kind) for murder.
