Iran Human Rights, May 30: Three men were hanged in public in the southeastern Iranian city of Zahedan, early this morning May 30. reported the official Iranian news agency IRNA.

The men who are identified as "Haji Noti Zehi" son of Ismael, Gholam Rasoul Shaho Zehi son of Aghvan and Zabihollah Narouei son of Rasoul, and were convicted of taking part in a bomb explosion in a mosque in Zahedan on Thursday May 28, says the report.

According to the report " the men were arrested few days prior to the bombing".

iranhr.net) poiting to the fact that the three men’s executions took place less than two days after the bombing they are convicted of, said: "It seems that they have been sentenced to death in a summaric trial". He added: "todays public executions are solely meant to spread fear".

 

The bombing in a crowded Shi’ite mosque on Thursday evening killed about 25 people wounded more than 120 people in the southeastern city of Zahedan according to the official Iranian reports.

A Sunni opposition group named Jundollah (God’s Soldiers), which Iran says is part of the Islamist al Qaeda network and backed by the United States, said it was behind the bombing, Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television said on Friday.
