Iran Human Rights, November 14: According to reliable sources in Iran, a child offender identified as Mohammadreza Tork will be executed tomorrow morning. He will be executed along with 2 other men. All 3 are convicted of murder in a village near Malayer November 2005. At that time Mohammadreza was 16 years and 4 months old (born in June 1989), and now he is 18 years and 4 months old.

The execution will take place in a prison in the city of Hamedan.

The Iranian government has ratified UN’s convention of the rights of the child, according to which death penalty should not be given for the crimes convicted before the age of 18.
