Iran: Prisoner Executed for Rape
Iran Human Rights (IHR); May 19, 2021: A prisoner sentenced to death on rape charges, has been executed in Mashhad Central Prison.
According to Khorasan newspaper, a man was executed in Mashhad Central Prison in the early hours of this morning. The 31-year-old prisoner only identified as Ghassem.B, was arrested and sentenced to death for raping 14 boys and a 15 year old girl.
Ghassem was arrested when he was identified after kidnapping a nine year old foreign citizen child (possibly an Afghani national). Five others were arrested with him but no information is available about their fate.
According to IMNA news agency, Ghassem. B was sentenced to death for the rape of the 15 year old girl.
