A WOMAN (SOHEILA), A MINOR (SAFAR) AND SEVERAL OTHERS SCHEDULED TO BE EXECUTED IN TEHRAN TOMORROW

According to the report, Soheila is convicted of killing her 5 days old baby three years ago. In her defence she has said: "I escaped from home and got married to the boy I loved, at the age of 16. He died in an accident and after that I started with prostitution and drug addiction. I got HIV and hepatitis. When my baby was born, I killed her because I didn’t want he to have the same destiny as mine".

Safar Angooti, who is sentenced to death for a murder allegedly committed at the age of 17, has been transferred to a solitary confinement in Tehran’s Evin prison, prior to the scheduled execution early tomorrow, wrote his lawyer Mohammad Mostafaei in a letter.

Several countries, such as Norway, have protested against the scheduled execution of Safar Angooti and other minors today.

According to the web site "Iranian activists for democracy and human rights" two other men have been transferred from the Rajaee shahr prison west of Tehran, to the Evin prison for execution.

Another report from "Human rights activists news agency" (HRNA) says that a man identified as Hamzeh Rigi, was transferred from Rajaee Shahr prison, few hours after yesterdays Baluchestan bombing, to a undisclosed location. It is believed that he might be one of the prisoners in danger of execution for alleged connection to the bombing episode.
