Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO); October 25, 2022: Habil Hosseinzehi, Jomeh Gomshadzehi and Mohammad Zarkezehi, three Baluch men sentenced to death for drug-related charges in Zahedan and Zabol Prisons.
According to Hal Vash, two Baluch men were executed in Zahedan Central Prison on October 22. Their identities have been reported as 30-year-old Habil Hosseinzehi and Jomeh Goshadzehi who were sentenced to death for drug-related charges in the same case.
They were reported to have been arrested in Zahedan three years and sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court.
On the same day, another Baluch man was executed Zabol Prison. His identity has been established as 30-year-old Mohammad Zarkezehi who was also sentenced to death for drug-related charges. He was arrested in Zabol three years ago and sentenced to death.
At the time of writing, none of their executions have been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
At least 251 including 6 women and 67 Baluch minorities were executed in the first six months of 2022. This is double the number of executions in the same period in 2021 when 117 people were executed.
