Four Men Including Brothers Executed for Drug Charges in Karaj (UPDATED)

According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, four men were executed in Karaj Penitentiary on January 26. Their identities have been established as Reza Shokripour, Omid Shokripour, Majid Shah Mohammadiand Borjali Karami. They were all sentenced to death for drug-related charges by the Revolutionary Court.

At the time of writing, none of their executions have been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.

At least seven other men have been executed at Karaj Penitentiary over the last ten days. The surge in executions at the prison started after prisoners protested against transfers for execution on December 17.
