According to Hal Vash, a Baluch man was executed in Bam Prison on 10 October. His identity has been reported as 30-year-old Hossein Alizadeh who was sentenced to qisas for murder.

An informed source told Iran Human Rights: “Hossein was arrested for murder charges in Rigan around ten years ago. He was transferred to Bam Prison and sentenced to death by the Bam Criminal Court. He was transferred to solitary confinement from the general ward on 9 October and executed in the early hours of 10 October.

Those charged with the umbrella term of “intentional murder” are sentenced to qisas (retribution-in-kind) regardless of intent or circumstances due to a lack of grading in law.
