Group Execution Scheduled in Ghezelhesar Prison Tomorrow
Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO); December 19, 2023: At least 4 death row prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions in Ghezelhesar Prison.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, at least four men were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their scheduled executions. The unidentified men are on death row for murder and drug-related charges.
Their execution is reportedly scheduled to take place on 20 December.
Group executions have been taking place in Ghezelhesar Prison since the closure of Rajai Shahr Prison. In November 2023 alone, there was a group execution every Wednesday.
