URGENT: A KURDISH POLITICAL PRISONER WAS EXECUTED IN NORTHWEST OF IRAN

Iran Human Rights, January 15: According to the reports from reliable sources that we have received today from Iran, one Kurdish political prisoner was executed in the prison of Oroumieh.
According to these reports the prisoner was convicted of Moharebeh (war against the God) through membership in the banned Kurdish political party "PJAK".
The identity of the prisoner is not certain yet.
Iran Human Rights had last warned about the possibility of execution of the Kurdish political prisoner Hossein Kehzri.
During the recent days Mr.
Khezri’s family have also expressed concern that Hossein might have been executed.
Iran Human Rights will follow up with more details later.
