One man is scheduled to be hanged in public in Karaj (west of Tehran) Tomorrow Monday Janauary 24.

Iran Human Rights, January 23: One man is scheduled to be hanged in public in the city of Karaj (west of Tehran) tomorrow morning at 6 AM, according to official Iranian sources.

According to the Iranian news agency Mehr, the man is identified as Omid (28), convicted of murdering 10 people. Omid is sentenced to 9 times execution, 74 lashes and once hanging in public, says the report.

The execution will take place at "Shah Abbsi" square of Karaj.

Another man was hanged in public in Tehran on January 5th.

According to the official reports 64 people have been executed in Iran since the beginning of January 2011.
