Ali (17) is in imminent risk of execution for a crime allegedly committed when he was 15

Iran Human Rights, December 26: The death sentence of Ali (17) has now been sent to the section for "enforcement of the judgement" (Ejraye Ahkam; where the sentences are carried out) in Tehran, according to the state-run news agency ISCANEWS. On December 6. Iran Human Rights reported that Ali’s death sentence was confirmed by the supreme court. Ali is convicted of murdering Ahmad (8) in December 2005. At that time Ali was 15 years old according to the news agency. In Summer of 2007, a court in Tehran sentenced Ali to death, and in the beginning of December 2007 the death sentence was confirmed by the Supreme court.

On December 23 we reported that the death sentence of another child offender, Behnood, was also sent to the same section for enforcement of the judgement (ejraye ahkam) in Tehran. Both these child offenders are at imminent risk of execution now.
