Right hands and left feet of five people were amputated in the province of Sistan-Baluchistan, reported the state-run news agency ISNA yesterday. The five were convicted of armed robbery, hostage-taking and shooting at police officers. Their punishment was carried out in the presence of a medical team in Zahedan, the capital of Sistan- Baluchistan province, after their initial sentence was confirmed by the Supreme Court, according to the report.
