Reza Salimi, 27, was executed in Semnan Central Prison on 5 September. He had been arrested around five years earlier for the murder of his friend and sentenced to qisas.

اعدام رضا سلیمی تا زمان انتشار خبر از سوی رسانههای داخلی یا منابع رسمی اعلام نشده بود. در سال ۲۰۲۵ دستکم ۷۴۷ نفر با اتهام قتل در ایران اعدام شدند.

رضا سلیمی، ۲۷ ساله، صبح ۱۴ شهریور در زندان مرکزی سمنان اعدام شد. او حدود پنج سال پیش با اتهام قتل یکی از دوستانش بازداشت و به قصاص نفس محکوم شده بود.
