Two Prisoners Executed in Northern Iran on Drug Charges

Iran Human Rights (SEPT 6 2016): Two prisoners were hanged at Rasht's Lakan Prison on drug related charges. According to a report by the press department of the Judiciary in Gilan, the executions were carried out on the morning of Saturday September 3. The report identifies the prisoners as "A.B., 52 years old, charged with purchasing, possessing, and distributing 100 kilograms and 300 grams of hashish" and "J.P., 32 years old, charged with trafficking two kilograms of narcotics.
