According to close sources, the prisoner is Mahmoud Faramarzi, 36 years old. A close sources tells Iran Human Rights that Mr. Faramarzi was accused of murder in 2008 and sentenced to death in a civil court in Qazvin on July 13, 2009.

After the first two years of his imprisonment, Mr. Faramarzi was reportedly transferred from Qazvin's central prison to Abhar Prison (Zanjan province, northern Iran), but he was transferred back to Qazvin's central prison a week before his execution.

Iranian official sources, including the media and Judiciary, have not announced Mr. Faramarzi's execution.
